Nike Jumps Higher: Will It Last? We Weigh in on TD Ameritrade Network

McMillanDoolittle’s Amanda Lai joined an expert panel on TD Ameritrade Network to discuss the outlook for Nike (NKE) ahead of its fourth quarter earnings release. Lai cites Nike’s long-term strategy of investing in e-commerce, scaling back wholesale partnerships, and leveraging customer data as drivers of the brand’s continued success in driving sales and gaining customer loyalty.

In line with Lai’s expectations, Nike’s fiscal fourth quarter earnings release reported after the bell yesterday topped analysts’ earning and sales estimates. Total revenue grew to $12.34 billion from $6.31 billion a year earlier, beating out investor estimates of $11.01 billion. Even as the country reopens and Americans begin to shift their spending to out of home categories, Nike continues to maintain its dominance as a global leader in athletic apparel and footwear. Watch the segment at the video link above for additional expert insights from Amanda Lai covering additional players including Lululemon and Foot Locker.
