Eye on Athleisure: McMillanDoolittle Shares Outlook on TD Ameritrade Network

Apparel Industry Headwinds: Emerging Competitors & Growth of The Resale Market

McMillanDoolittle’s Amanda Lai recently joined an expert panel on TD Ameritrade Network to discuss the outlook for the athleisure segment as the country reopens and Americans open their wallets.  Lai expands upon recent market developments, as leggings and sweatpants have become quintessential staples in Americans’ work from home wardrobes.  Leading brands like Lululemon and Nike were early beneficiaries during lockdowns and have continued to flourish throughout the COVID-19 pandemic – in what had been an otherwise struggling apparel landscape.

As vaccine rollout continues and pandemic restrictions are lifted, Americans are beginning to shift their spending towards “out of home” categories including dining, travel and apparel categories beyond athleisure. Watch the segment at the video link above for related expert insights from Amanda Lai.
