Senior Retail Executive David Weiss joins McMillanDoolittle as a Partner

David Weiss joined McMillanDoolittle as a partner in May, bringing nearly 20 years of industry experience to client engagements. As a senior retail executive, David has worked for multi-billion dollar global companies, venture-funded start-ups and private-equity owned turnarounds.  He is known for identifying opportunities, creating focus, and building cohesive business strategies.

Prior to joining McMillanDoolittle, David served as the interim Chief Operating Officer for Monica + Andy, a digitally native apparel brand in the childrenswear space.  There, he helped develop and execute a pop-up store growth strategy and built the process and tools for seasonal hind-sighting and forecasting.

Previously, David spent over a decade of his career directing international and US business as a merchandiser for apparel companies including Levi Strauss, Gap Inc., J.C. Penney, and Abercrombie & Fitch.

David specializes in developing clear retail positioning, compelling customer experience, product development strategy, assortment architecture, and retail operations improvement.

David served on the advisory board for the California Pacific Epilepsy Program. He has a B.A. in Government from Harvard University and an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
