Amanda Oren is a twenty-year retail strategist, with deep subject matter expertise in merchandising, e-commerce, cross-channel operational improvements, category management, and system implementations. She has served many top U.S. retailers in a number of advisory and operations-focused capacities, both in-house and as a consultant and is currently an Affiliate Partner with McMillanDoolittle.
Amanda also currently supports grocery parent company Good Food Holdings as an IT and E-Commerce Strategy and Planning Consultant. In that role, Amanda leads IT road-mapping and capacity planning efforts for the company’s five high-end supermarket chains across the West Coast. Prior to Good Food Holdings, she held roles at Weee, Grocery Outlet, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Macy’s. As Vice President of Merchandising Services and Planning at Weee, a leading online ethnic grocer, she was hired by the CEO and Board of Directors as the first leadership hire in Merchandising, tasked with improving and scaling the organization in preparation for a potential IPO. As the Vice President of Business Operations at Grocery Outlet, she served as the execution arm of the strategy team. She began her career at BearingPoint as a consultant focused on process reengineering and system implementations across all retail channels. Amanda earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her BS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
