David leads projects that utilize his 20 years of unique experience as a retail executive and consultant, bringing the know-how of his strategy, merchandising, brand and operations roles to his clients. Prior to joining McMillanDoolittle, David worked for multi-billion dollar global companies, venture-funded start-ups and private-equity owned turnarounds. These included positions at Old Navy, Levi Strauss, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, JCPenney, and Monica + Andy. His experience spans multiple formats and channels in the US and globally; specialty retail, wholesale, department store and ecommerce.
Rooted in the fundamentals of merchandising, David has a deep expertise in retail and brand strategy, consumer journey improvement, go-to-market strategies and retail operations improvement for integrated retailers.
David is a frequent presenter and commentator on industry developments and a Forbes contributor.
David has a B.A. from Harvard University and an MBA in Marketing & Entrepreneurship from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
