Amazon, Target, and Walmart Battle for Summer Shopping Dollars

What began as Amazon’s Prime Day promotional event in July has evolved into a full-fledged promotional week, with Target, Walmart, and others participating in what some are now calling “Black Friday in July”.  Will consumer demand for discretionary goods match last year’s high levels? Can Amazon maintain share amid increasing competition? Who will succeed in the ever-important contest for subscribers and loyalty members?
