Robert Kinkade Senior Consultant/Project Manager

Robert Kinkade is a senior consultant and project manager at McMillanDoolittle since 2006. Rob has had a lifelong passion for the art and science of retailing, spending his early days working in the stores of a retail business founded by his grandfather outside of Seattle. A role selling menswear at leading department store Nordstrom intended to finance university tuition formed the foundation for a retail career upon completion of studies.

Through various pioneering roles at Nordstrom, Robert helped shape the way merchants and planners collaborate to strategically use business insights balanced with the creativity required to win customers in a competitive retail landscape. Robert also led various initiatives within the highly successful technology enabled business transformation at Nordstrom that contributed to significant EBIT growth. Robert joined the leading global consulting firm Accenture upon moving to Australia, serving in leadership roles on several strategic retail initiatives in Australia.

Robert has developed expertise in merchant buying processes; pricing, promotions and markdown management; demand forecasting and replenishment; customer-centric range optimisation; and merchandise planning and in-season merchandise management.

Robert has also participated in technology enabled business transformation projects from a client, solution provider and integration partner perspective, giving him a well rounded view of what it takes to make projects succeed and realise tangible business benefits.
